In the North Texas Region, IMPACT certification is a lifetime membership. We require all coaches (including assistant coaches) to be IMPACT certified. Coaches must become certified prior to being around junior players in all capacities such as, practice, camps, leagues, private lessons, events. We encourage coaches to further their training and to keep up with new trends, but it is not required.
USA Volleyball is continuing to use the IMPACT webinar and on demand courses to reach coaches who might not otherwise be able to attend a clinic in person. This allows coaches to use their computer and phone line to “attend” a clinic. The webinar course is a scheduled event and typically runs in two sections over a five hour period. At the end, attendees will take a test over the material. USAV conducts these clinics throughout the year. The USAV Webinars schedule link is below. Their other option is the on demand course. This allows coaches the opportunity to take the course online on their own time schedule. Once an individual registers for the course, they have 21 days to complete it. As long as a participants saves their progress, they will be able to log back in and come back to the same chapter. At the conclusion, coaches will take a test. It is recommended to print the test so you will be able to correct any incorrect answer. If coaches have technical issues with the on demand course, they should utilize USAV’s On-Demand Help Desk.
